The  24^th World Travel Awards 2017 awards were this year held on the 10^th of October .The glittering event took place at the 5 star at Radison Blu Hotel and Convention center, one of the most recognized modern structures in Africa in Kigali, Rwanda.

World Travel Awards founder and president, Graham E Cooke, said: ”We have recognized the leading lights of African Tourism tonight and I wish to offer my heartfelt congratulations to all of our winners”.

Uganda in particular had five winners;

Uganda’s leading suite-Presidential Suite at – LAKE VICTORIA SERENA RESORT

Uganda’s leading Safari Lodge – NKURINGO BWINDI GORILLA LODGE

Uganda’s leading tented Safari camp – SANCTUARY GORILLA FOREST CAMP

Uganda’s leading Car Rental company – ROAD TRIP UGANDA

The ceremony part of World Travel Awards Grand Tour 2017, was compered by CNBC Africa presenter and producer, George Ndirangu and media personality, Makeda Mahadeo. Entertainment was provided by Inganzo Ngari, Rwanda’s most acclaimed traditional dance group and the Neptunez band.

The World Travel Awards aim to celebrate those organizations and companies who push the boundaries of Tourism industry excellence.
