This 9 Days Best of Uganda Safari is a complete journey through Uganda’s most beautiful national parks and wildlife destinations. The safari takes you to see the famous mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, which is the highlight of the trip. Along the way, you will also visit Murchison Falls National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kyambura Gorge for chimpanzee trekking, and enjoy views of the Rwenzori Mountains, also known as the “Mountains of the Moon.”
Your journey starts in Entebbe and takes you north to Murchison Falls, where you will see the powerful Nile River squeeze through a narrow gorge and fall with great force. You will enjoy game drives and a boat cruise on the Nile where you may see lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, and many bird species.
The safari continues to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda’s most popular parks. Here, you will enjoy more game drives and a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. You will also trek chimpanzees in Kyambura Gorge and explore the beautiful scenery of western Uganda.
You will then travel through the Ishasha Sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions, before reaching Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Bwindi is home to many mountain gorilla families. The gorillas in Bwindi are less nomadic compared to those in Mgahinga, which increases your chances of finding them. Gorilla trekking is a once-in-a-lifetime experience where you will spend one hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat.
On the final day, you return to Kampala for a short city tour before transferring to the airport for your flight home.
This safari offers wildlife, primates, culture, beautiful landscapes, and unforgettable experiences across Uganda.
