Visit families of Mountain Gorillas in their lush natural habitat, one of the most remarkable and exclusive wildlife experiences on earth.

Mountain gorillas are one of two subspecies of Eastern gorilla, a critically endangered creature which is the largest of the primates. There are currently around 1000 individual mountain gorillas which can be viewed at one two locations in the world, both of which are partially or entirely within Uganda.

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Southwest Uganda hosts around 400 of the world's mountain gorillas. They tend to have a higher proportion of fruit in their diet than the nearby Virunga gorillas, and they travel further in search of food, making them a challenging but rewarding find.

Virunga is split between Rwanda, DRC and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in Uganda. This small, but eventful and spectacle-filled park, contains one gorilla family living in unity with golden monkeys. The less dense bamboo vegetation makes visibility here better than most other locations.
