Kampala launches sightseeing tourism bus
Kampala launches sightseeing tourism bus: Kampala City has introduced a tour bus. It is 69 seater bus which will be known as the Kampala Sightseeing tour bus. It has been launched by The State Minister for Tourism, Mr Geoffrey Kiwanda. This bus, which was worth 600 million shillings, is aimed at promoting tourism in Kampala City.
Speaking at the bus’ inauguration, Buganda Kingdom’s Katikiro Charles Peter Mayiga, said that existing tourism facilities can best be delivered to the local, regional and international market via relevant packaging.
The bus will move to various tourism sites in the city. Foreigners will be charged $30 (110,000) while Ugandans will pay Shs100, 00 to tour the city.
