Day 1 – Nairobi/ Tsavo West National Park

Proceed to Tsavo West for lunch and a leisurely afternoon before an evening game drive. Tsavo West National Park features major landmarks like Mzima Springs – great for spotting wild animals, Chaimu Crater which affords magnificent views of birdlife, and Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary alongside volcanoes, geysers, mud pots and abundant wildlife.

Day 2 – Tsavo West National Park / Amboseli National Park

Early morning game drive before departing Tsavo West and proceeding to Amboseli National Park, renowned for its breathtaking views of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro – the highest point in Africa at 19,340 feet – with herds of elephant wandering across the vast grassy plain in the foreground and, in the dry season, mirages produced by the salt crystals in the dust on the surface of the sere lake. The park has five main habitats, open plains, acacia woodland, rocky thorn bush country, swamps and marshland. You will arrive at Amboseli in time for lunch at your lodge or camp before enjoying a late afternoon game drive.

Day 3 – Amboseli National Park

Enjoy a full day in the reserve with both morning and afternoon game drives. Amboseli is big game country with elephant, antelope, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo and giraffe. You will be introduced to the intense beauty and drama capturing the moments when predators stalk the herds of grazing animals, recreating the age-old drama of life and death under the African sun.

Day 4 – Amboseli National Park / Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, drive towards Lake Naivasha arriving in time for lunch. Optional afternoon boat rides on Lake Naivasha at an extra cost – freshwater lake with a picturesque view of Mount Longonot, hippos, over 400 species of birds on the island including pelicans, African fish eagles, African darter, cormorants and the lesser flamingos which are migratory.

Alternatively visit Crescent Island via a boat ride for a nature walk where you reach wildebeest, zebra and giraffes from close range.

Day 5 – Amboseli National Park / Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, drive towards the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park arriving in time for lunch.

Later in the afternoon, enjoy a game drive in the park that also takes you to the shores of the lake,  famous for its birdlife, especially flamingoes that form a pink hue across its surface.

Day 6 – Lake Nakuru National Park / Maasai Mara National Reserve

Depart Lake Nakuru after breakfast and drive through the floor of the Rift Valley to the world famous Maasai Mara National Reserve arriving at Mara Sopa lodge in time for lunch.

Later, enjoy an afternoon game drive in the reserve.

Day 7 – Maasai Mara National Reserve

Enjoy full day in the reserve with both morning and afternoon game drives.

The Maasai Mara, Kenya’s finest wildlife reserve, is the northern extension of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania and its rolling plains are home to hundreds of animal species. Everything about this reserve is outstanding. The wildlife is abundant and the gentle rolling grasslands ensure that animals are never out of sight. Birds, too, are prolific. Including migrants, well over 450 species have been recorded, among them, 57 species of birds of prey.

Day 7 – Maasai Mara National Reserve / Nairobi

After the morning at leisure, enjoy a final game drive on the way to Nairobi. On arrival in Nairobi you will be dropped off at your hotel.
