7 Days Murchison Falls & Kipedo Valley Tour

Day 1 – Kampala-Gulu

You will visit Ziwa Rhino sanctuary, where the only wild rhinos in Uganda are found, on the drive to Gulu town in Northern Uganda. You will have an opportunity to cross the Nile and kaluma falls before proceeding to Gulu town to stay overnight to break up the 6-7 hours driving time to Kidepo Valley National Park.

Day 2 – Gulu-Kidepo Valley National Park

We carry on the rest of the way to Kidepo Valley National Park. On your way, are some scenic views and the great Manyatas before we cross some seasonal rivers and arrive in time for lunch, and the day is topped off with an evening game drive in Narus Valley.

Day 3 – Game drives in Narus Valley

We travel to Narus Valley for a morning game drive where many animals come to drink and feed. Here you’ll find the largest buffalo herds on earth, and if lucky, cheetahs too. Then it’s back to the Lodge for lunch and we finally return to Narus Valley for an evening game drive.

Day 4 – Visit to the Ik people and Hotsprings visit in Kidepo Valley

Hike the Lomej Mountains to meet members of the endangered IK tribe. The park has binocular observation points for the stunning views. Back to the lodge for lunch, then drive to Kidepo Valley to visit the hot springs, the Uganda-Sudan border and to spot the giant Ostriches there. Lastly, return to the lodge to sleep.

Day 5 – Kidepo Valley

After breakfast, we drive from Kidepo Valley to Murchison Falls. There is an en route game drive through the north of the park (Paraa) where you may spot many mammals and if lucky, big cats hunting. Cross the ferry and stay overnight in the Park.

Day 6 – Morning game drive and evening boat cruise

In the morning, there’s a ferry for those who spent the night on the southern side for a morning game drive in Paraa. Then an afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of Murchison falls. You may spot crocodiles, hippos, water birds, and other land animals that come to drink water from here. Finally, return to the lodge to eat and sleep.

Day 7 – Murchison Falls NP-Departure

We return to Entebbe Airport for your departure flights from Uganda. You may pass by the top of Murchison falls to take in the vista. Lunch is offered en route to the airport.
