This trip specifically includes the most beautiful adventure spots of Northern Uganda. Stand before the powerful Murchison Falls before visiting the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to see these beautiful but endangered animals. Embark upon game drives and hikes through the stunning Kipedo and Sipi Falls, relax at Kanangorok hot springs and visit the very source of the Nile.

Day 1
Upon arrival in Uganda, our company driver will pick you and transfer you from Entebbe international airport to your first accommodation in Uganda.

Day 2
You depart Kampala for Murchison falls in the north-west of Uganda. On arrival, you will visit the top of the falls for a panoramic view of the strongest waterfall in the world.

Day 3
Go for a three hour morning game drive through the southern bank looking for animals like lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, African elephants, giraffes, bush bucks, and antelopes. Then travel by cruise along the Nile to the mighty Murchison falls base. The 2.5 hour boat cruise will give you the opportunity to see many crocodiles, hippos, and many bird species.

Day 4
After breakfast, depart Murchison Falls for Kidepo Valley park in northernmost Uganda, a journey that takes around 8 hours. This is Uganda’s national park with over 77 mammals as well as around 475 bird species.

Day 5
Take a morning drive to kanangorok hot springs and the Narus valley. This park support elephants, cape buffaloes, Rothchild’s giraffe, cheetah, lions, leopards and eland. Birds include the giant ostrich, bustards, secretary birds, karamoja apalis and more. After lunch, you proceed to Karenna and kidepo for a cultural performance given by the Karamojong.

Day 6
Early morning, hike to Lomes Mountains to meet the endangered Ik tribe, also known as the mountain people and wander the Kidepo River valley. Alternatively, you can visit Morungule Mountains outside the park to meet the Ik people.

Day 7
Depart Kidepo Valley park for Mountain Elgon National park in Mbale. This is a journey that will take 8 to 9 hours and lunch will be enroute.

Day 8
Hike to the top of Ssipi falls in Mt Elgon park to enjoy the views. Alternatively, you can opt for a full day nature hike from Budadiri to the Mudange cliffs in the forest where you’re likely to cross paths with blue monkeys, baboons and black and white colobus monkeys.

Day 9
After waking we visit Mount shambas to find where your Arabica coffee comes from.You will learn about the lifestyle of the Sabiny as you meet locals and participate in traditional weaving. Learn more about African cuisine through preparation, cooking and testing of local dishes. After, you visit the women’s handicraft shops to buy souvenirs.

Day 10
Depart Mountain Elgon National park and head to the source of the Nile in Jinja. A boat cruise along the Nile will lead you to where Lake Victoria separates from the Nile.

Day 11
Wake at leisure and take the whole day to relax on the Nile. There are boat cruise to the nearby islands. Optional activities can be arranged on request, such as; Bungee jumping, kayaking, white water rafting, River boarding, Quad biking, canoeing and more.

Day 12
After breakfast, depart Jinja for Entebbe to catch up with your flight.

Visa requirements for Uganda
With effect from July 1, 2015, visa fees for entry into Uganda were revised as follows:

❭❭ East Africa Tourist Visa US$100
❭❭ Government Officials No fee
❭❭ Diplomatic Visa No fee
Please note:
All visa applications must be submitted online. Paper applications will not be processed and may result in delays.
Visa applications for holders of passports:
- Submit an online application here.
- Your passport must have been valid for at least 6 months from the date of travel and for 6 months after your expected departure from Uganda.
- You will need to submit a money order for the correct visa from the list above.
- You will need to submit a letter of invitation/introduction if you are travelling for business.
- You are required to present an international inoculation certificate against yellow fever at the point of entry in Uganda.
- Please enclose a prepaid, self-addressed UPS, FEDEX, DHL,USPS Priority or Express return envelope with your application. Regular envelopes are not accepted.
Visa applications for holders of travel documents
Holders of travel documents (not passports) issued by the U.S. Immigration Department to refugees are required to submit the following in addition to the above requirements.
- An invitation from the host legally residing in Uganda.
- A letter obtained by the host from the local authorities (e.g. Local Council Chairman) confirming he/she resides in that locality.
- A copy of the host’s photo ID such as a drivers licence, national ID card or passport.
