In Kibale forest you can see 13 different kinds of primate, Murchison Falls gives you insight into just how powerful the river Nile can be, boat cruise through swathes of hippos and crocodiles on the Kazinga channel, travel the best road to see some of the animals in the park, ‘the kasenyi track’, visit the highest populous area of mountain gorillas in Bwindi and visit the private and mysterious Batwa tribe. This i far from the extent of what you can do all in all.

Day 1

On arrival, our company driver will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to the hotel in Kampala. Depending on the time of arrival, you may choose to do a city tour where you can visit the museum, craft shops, and this is payable by the client.

Day 2

You depart Kampala for Murchison falls National Park, a journey that will take 5-6 hours. Enroute you will visit Ziwa rhino sanctuary in Nakasongola. After reaching Murchison Falls National Park, you will visit the top of the falls itself. Take pictures as the Nile squeezes in a 7 meter gorge forming a thunderous roar of the falls.

Day 3

After breakfast, you go on an early morning game drive. It will give you an insight of various animals which includes; elephants, buffaloes, kobs, bushbucks, hyenas, waterbucks, and giraffes. You then have a 3 hour afternoon boat cruise along the Nile to the bottom of Murchison falls, giving you a chance to spot other aquatic creatures.

Day 4

Depart Murchison falls National Park for Kibale National park which is the primate capital of the world. This is home to 13 primates including chimpanzees. Lunch will be enroute.

Day 5

Head to the information centre at 8:00AM before starting your journey in Kibale forest to track chimpanzees and other primates like baboons, a variety of birds, butterflies and plants. After lunch, you will bird watch in the Bigodi wetland.

Day 6         

We’ll depart Kibale forest for Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving just in time for lunch. Then we have a unique boat cruise on the Kazinga channel which joins Lake Edward and Lake George. On the boat cruise, expect to see hippos, crocodiles, birds elephants wondering on the shores and many more.

This boat cruise is an excellent platform for photography.

Day 7

In the morning we leave for a morning game drive on the Kasenyi track. This is the best time to see a variety of animals in the park. Animals include lions, leopards, giant forest hog, cape buffaloes, elephants, Defenssa, Water bucks, Uganda kob, bush bucks, topis and many more. You will also visit the Ishasha sector to search for the tree climbing lions.

Day 8

It’s time to leave for Bwindi Impenetrable national park. This park is mountainous and resides in South West Uganda. It claims a high proportion of the few of the world’s mountain gorillas. As well as these, you can find the other big sought after ape; the Chimpanzee.

Day 9

Wake at 7:45AM and travel to the information centre for a briefing before starting the Mountain Gorilla trek. The walking can take 1-9 hours, but you get a full hour with the gorillas once found, and then in the evening you will depart for Mgahinga national park.

Day 10

At 6:00 AM, head to the home of the Batwa, known as the ‘forest people’. The batwa trail runs across Muhavura and Gahinga volcanoes. With the Batwa guides, you’ll see the forest as a larder, pharmacy, builders yard, tool kit and a home. You’ll get to fire a bow, check hives for honey, help repair shelters, harvest plants for medicine and food, light a fire  and listens to legends of Batwa history. The highlight of the trail is a descent in the garama cave.

Day 11

Early morning we depart Mgahinga park for Lake mburo national park. This journey takes 6-7 hours getting you there in time for lunch. You’ll then go on a boat cruise on Lake Mburo. Here you will see vastly different aquatic wildlife and birds, like hippos and crocodiles.

Day 12

The day starts with a morning game drive where you can see Zebras, giraffes, Eland (the largest antelope), Uganda kobs, topis, duikers and more. After lunch, you’ll leave Lake Mburo national park for Bukakata landing site in Masaka for your ferry to Ssese islands.

Day 13

From the ssese islands with shores on Lake Victoria, you take a boat cruise to other islands. Optional activities that can be arranged on request include Quad biking, Nature walks, golf, zoo and bird Paradise Park visit, sport fishing, BBQ and nightly bonfires, village / cultural walks, canoe rides, Banana Boat rides, Island tour on a motorcycle and much more.

Day 14

After breakfast, depart Ssese islands at around 8:00AM to catch up with your flight.

Visa requirements for Uganda

With effect from July 1, 2015, visa fees for entry into Uganda were revised as follows:

Please note:

All visa applications must be submitted online. Paper applications will not be processed and may result in delays.

Visa applications for holders of passports:

  1. Submit an online application here.
  2. Your passport must have been valid for at least 6 months from the date of travel and for 6 months after your expected departure from Uganda.
  3. You will need to submit a money order for the correct visa from the list above.
  4. You will need to submit a letter of invitation/introduction if you are travelling for business.
  5. You are required to present an international inoculation certificate against yellow fever at the point of entry in Uganda.
  6. Please enclose a prepaid, self-addressed UPS, FEDEX, DHL,USPS Priority or Express return envelope with your application. Regular envelopes are not accepted.

Visa applications for holders of travel documents

Holders of travel documents (not passports) issued by the U.S. Immigration Department to refugees are required to submit the following in addition to the above requirements.

  1. An invitation from the host legally residing in Uganda.
  2. A letter obtained by the host from the local authorities (e.g. Local Council Chairman) confirming he/she resides in that locality.
  3. A copy of the host’s photo ID such as a drivers licence, national ID card or passport.
