Semuliki National Park
Semuliki National Park is located in western Uganda near Bundibugyo and covers about 220 square kilometres. The park protects a lowland tropical forest that is very different from other Uganda National Parks. It is known for hot springs and unique wildlife species.
Visitors walk through forest trails to see the famous Sempaya Hot Springs, where boiling water rises from the ground.
The park hosts many rare bird species that are also found in Central Africa, making it a special place for bird lovers.
Guided walks allow visitors to explore dense forest while learning about plants and small animals.
The dry seasons are best for walking activities, though the park can be visited year-round.
Semuliki is reached by road from Fort Portal town, which connects to Kampala by highway.
